About us:
Australian Marrow Match was created after one of our family members, Ned, was diagnosed with leukaemia and needed a life saving stem cell transplant. Ned couldn’t find a match in Australia but luckily found a donor overseas. We were surprised at how few donors were on the Australian Bone Marrow Registry and we decided this needed to change. We hope to ensure many more young Australians join the registry and have the opportunity to provide a marrow match and one day save a life.
Our vision
Our vision is that all Australians who need a life saving bone marrow (stem cell) transplant are able to find a match.
Our Mission
Our mission is to increase the number of donors on the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Registry, in particular the number of young males. We also aim to educate and inform people about bone marrow donation.
