A Bloody Good Time

We can’t believe it was over a year ago that ‘A Bloody Good Time’ was hosted at The Yorkshire Hotel to raise money for Australian Marrow Match and to raise awareness of the need for people - particularly young men - to register as potential bone marrow donors. We had some fantastic bands and DJs and also an opportunity to speak to a group of young people who are the key in terms of building up the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Registry.  What a year we have had since this day! The COVID crisis has highlighted the need for Australia to have a robust registry of our own as a lack of international flights have made donations from overseas very challenging. Now more than ever we need to spread the word.

We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped organise the event, to all the bands and djs who played, the Yorkshire Hotel for having us and their generous donation and finally a enormous thank you to everyone who came along and donated to the cause. We raised an amazing amount of money, all of which is going straight to getting more people on the Bone Marrow Registry, which means more lives saved.

Thanks again to The Brungas, Mona Bay, The Raptures, Floss and Big Moist and the Smoking Durries for playing at the event!

Everyone had such a fun time at this event and we cannot wait to start to organise more things like this amazing event once this pesky pandemic is over!
